I'm going to take the day off.

I'm going to take the day off from posting today for two reasons:

1. I really need the sanity day.
2. I want to see if I can shake off the bots that are giving me particularly nasty hit/page view spam.

Assemblage 23 - "Alive" (live)

Today is Independence Day in the U.S. (July 4), so I'm going to make today a light day and just give you all one post. Besides, I figure a lot of you who read my stuff have plans for later in the day, anyway. Anyway, I'll be back to regular posting tomorrow. Happy Fourth!

In regard to the quality of posts...

Right now, I know I post almost nothing but videos, but I assure you this is only temporary. I will get back to adding more in-depth content as soon as I finish the current phase of a huge project that I'm working on that is unrelated to this blog. That project has been eating up most of my free time, and I just haven't had time to make the in-depth, opinionated posts or album reviews that I used to a few months ago. That should change sometime soon though, hopefully next month. Thank you for your patience.

Skipped Update

My apologies for omitting the afternoon update for Sunday. Sunday was kind of chaotic, and I simply forgot to make the update. I will post something later to make up for it and fill in the slot.

Slight update schedule change

Effective immediately, I'm going to stop making the Monday and Thursday night updates, and I'm going to just make scheduled updates twice a day, every day. Based on my site traffic, in general (with a couple of exceptions), the Monday and Thursday night updates get the least traffic of any of my updates. It's kind of pointless to make updates that nobody is going to go out of their way to check out, so I'm just going to do the same schedule every day. In short, you still get the morning and afternoon updates each day (including Mondays and Thursdays). You just don't get those two evening posts, anymore. Also, I still have the right to make bonus posts on a discretionary basis.

Facebook stuff

*points to sidebar* We do have a Facebook page, you know! If you like this blog/site/e-zine/whatever you want to call it, there are other people on the Facebook page who do too! Discussion is awesome, and I'd like to see some! ^_^;

Emilie Autumn - "Liar"

I'm such a liar. I told you I'd have Part II of my latest series up as a bonus update, but I ended up deciding against it. I had something written, but I really didn't like it. So, I decided to start over, but I'm not finished yet. I'm not going to give you a date on exactly which update the second part will be up this time, because I'm still trying to decide how I want to convey the tone I want to show. It will be soon though (as in "today/tomorrow/maybe the next day soon", not "next week soon").

But, I did say I'd give you a bonus update, so I have to give you something. So, here's live footage I found on YouTube of Emilie Autumn's "Liar" from Opheliac. It's my favorite Emilie Autumn song. Enjoy.

So, I have to tell you all that we have two interviews coming this week. There's one coming Monday morning (1-14) and one on Wednesday morning (1-16). You don't want to miss them! Both are musicians, and both have plenty to share with you all.

I don't know how many musicians read this page, but if there are any of you out there who do, I have a proposition for you. I'm at a point now where I'm ready to start doing open reviews of things that are within my sphere of expertise, which includes, but is not limited to: industrial, EBM, futurepop, aggrotech, gothic rock, darkwave, and electroclash. If you have something you want me to review, I'll be happy to give it a go. Boring admin stuff - Update schedule

I think the schedule that I want to keep in regard to this blog (at least for the time being) is to at least have a post every morning and every afternoon, and you all will get a bonus post on Monday and Thursday evenings. That doesn't prevent me from making more posts, if I so desire, but I'm going to try hard to stick to this schedule as my minimum. I'll probably only decrease my post count for a given day if it's either a major holiday that most people in the United States celebrate (e.g. Christmas) or if there has been some sort of major event (in my life or the world) in which I would deem it inappropriate to go on with business as usual. Also, I won't count "boring admin stuff", such as news about the format or physical aspects of the site, toward my total. So, you won't have to worry about cop-outs there.
